Counselling & CBT with Meridian Wellbeing

 Meet our therapists

Who are our therapists?

Meridian Wellbeing has provided professional psychological therapies for over 30 years, including providing NHS Talking Therapies (Formerly Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT)) for the last decade.

All of our therapists are either trained and qualfied or supervised by qualified and experienced therapists. Our CBT therapists provide NICE Compliant, evidenced-based psychological intervention, aligned with NHS Talking Therapies.

We have therapists who speak and are qualfied to deliver therapy and interventions in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and other languages.

Having been a service provider for the NHS, we know how vital its support services are, but unfortunately many people face long waiting times, strict eligibility criteria, or difficulty navigating the system.

That’s where Meridian Wellbeing steps in. We offer a flexible, tiered counselling service designed to make therapy more accessible, affordable, and meet you where you are.

What counselling or therapy is available?

We offer counselling, a form of talk therapy, that provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained therapist.

They could assist with with issues such as:

  • anxiety or panic attacks
  • obsessions and compulsions
  • stress
  • grief

We also offer NICE compliant CBT therapy, this aims to help us to take notice and challenge our thoughts and behaviours to commit to changes and help improve our wellbeing.

They can support you with:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

What's your role?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) therapist, clinical nurse specialist, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) therapist, wellness specialist.

About me

I’ve worked in mental health since 2006, starting with young people and families before qualifying as a mental health nurse in 2015. My nursing career gave me deep experience in crisis care, medication, and DBT for high-risk clients, but my long-term goal was always psychotherapy.

After training as a CBT therapist during COVID, I now work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. My specialisms include autism and neurodivergence, women’s health, and trauma. I hold a BSc in Psychology, postgraduate diplomas in Mental Health Nursing, Psychoanalytic Studies, and CBT (BABCP accredited), and I’m working toward an MSc degree.

What's your role?

I am a BACP-registered psychotherapist and a counselling psychologist in training.

About me

People come to therapy for many reasons — feeling low, anxious, stuck in patterns, or struggling with relationships, identity, or meaning. I offer a calm, supportive space to explore these experiences at a pace that feels right for you. As a BACP-registered psychotherapist and counselling psychologist in training, my approach is collaborative and grounded in understanding your lived experience rather than focusing only on symptoms.

I work with adults on issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, sexuality, intimacy, and life transitions, with particular experience in sexual health and sensitive topics. Drawing on existential and integrative psychotherapy, I adapt to each individual, considering how past experiences and cultural contexts shape the present. With clinical experience across NHS and hospital settings, I work ethically, with regular supervision and ongoing development, and offer therapy in English and Cantonese in a culturally sensitive way.

What is your role?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

About me

For the last 4 years, I have worked in an NHS therapy service supporting adults and, more recently, teenage girls in secondary education. My specialist focus is on trauma and personality development with advanced training in complex trauma.

I bring extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients as both a Speech and Language Therapist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) therapist, enabling a flexible, individualised approach. I bring an evidence-based approach to therapy which helps clients manage anxiety, low self-esteem, and depression. My therapeutic approach centres on building a strong, compassionate relationship with my clients, helping them to understand the origins of their difficulties and develop more helpful coping strategies.
