We all live busy lives and don't always have time to take care of our wellbeing. That's why Meridian Wellbeing has created this new video series, Wellbeing Bites. Worry Diary

 
The worry diary that can help you to cope with anxiety - specifically those worries that are hypothetical and that you may find difficult to let go of. The video clip also explains how to tackle practical worry head-on and ground yourself in the present moment.
 

4X4 Breathing Techniques

When we experience anxiety our heart rate accelerates and our breathing becomes shallow. The following video exercise helps reduce anxiety by normalising our breathing and slowing our heart rate. It is a grounding exercise that can bring you back into the safety of the present moment.

 

Coping Mechanisms

 
This video will help you manage challenging times better by explaining different types of distractions, coping and processing mechanisms. These are all beneficial when it comes to dealing with difficult experiences. It will give some real life examples and explain how to cope better.
 

Progressive Muscle Relaxation Meditation

If you are struggling with getting a good night's sleep the exercise in this video clip can help. It will guide you through a meditation that will help relax parts of your body and allow your mind to rest.

 

Experiencing Anxiety

 
Help bring more awareness of the way you experience anxiety in order to help manage it. In this video, we will explain the 3 ways anxiety is experienced in the body, mind and the way we view our anxiety.
 

Relaxation Meditation 

This video clip is a guided meditation that can help you relax and bring you back to the present. Often our thoughts can make us feel anxious, depressed and stressed. By focusing on breath, body, sensations and sounds we can achieve a state of relaxation and inner calmness.
