Chinese Wellbeing Services
- Wellbeing Club every Monday
- Social Club on Thursdays
Though primarily delivered in Chinese, the Wellbeing Club promotes integration and welcomes anyone to participate in the activities and exercises, including Tai Chi, dance class, singing classes, and seasonal and cultural celebrations.
Our clubs follow a quarterly event programme providing wellbeing activities, health talks, and a space to socialise and network with like-minded individuals.
We also offer a service that provides psychological and emotional support to Chinese mental health sufferers or elderly persons in residential homes.
We and our trained volunteers do this through regular contact, helping members of the community to combat mental health stigma, ease isolation and learn social skills.
Volunteer for Us
We are always looking for volunteers to help us with our Befriending Service. We will train and support you to provide regular contact to vulnerable adults in need.
We believe that by holding these activities and services we are helping those of you who come from Chinese and South-East Asian community in the UK who, for many reasons, struggle in adapting to life in the UK. The Chinese Wellbeing Service is our way to help you understand and tackle these issues.
We also take a holistic approach to connect the communities in culturally sensitive ways, promote better integration and help reduce social isolation and stigma.
