Tai Chi Beginners' Class

 
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese Martial Art with a history of over 700 years (some claim over 1,500 years) focusing on movements to relax the body and in turn relax the mind. 
 
This is a beginners course delivered by Si Fu Pak Hoi Lam with stances and postures from the 24 form Yang Style, a simplified version of the Yang Style 85 developed in the 1950s and now the most popular form of Tai Chi in the world. 
 
This programme of exercises is suitable for all participants from ages six and above. Si Fu Pak Hoi Lam has adapted these exercises to be suitable to participate at home, needing only a small amount of space for your movements.

Flower-bombing

Flower-bombing involves leaving a bouquet of flowers in a public place for someone else to find. Ursula was inspired by other random acts of kindness and has been flower-bombing across North London for some time. 

For this year's World Mental Health Day, Ursula and Meridian Wellbeing organised a Covid-19 secure flower-bombing to bring a little smile to someone's day. Check out the video to the right to find out what happened...

Our new Music for Wellbeing sessions are coming soon. Music for Wellbeing is a service in which listening to music, performing and rehearsing are used to improve wellbeing. Listening to music can be a chance to relax and socialise with others, while practicing or performing can be a chance to learn a new skill and express yourself.

This service is run in partnership with the not-for-profit organisation Chiltern Music Therapy.

Creative activities like art can help people to focus the mind on a creative activity and feel a sense of achievement with an activity which can lower stress or anxiety.
