The Covid-19 pandemic resulting in the national lockdown in March 2020 forced us all to adapt the way we live.
We adapted our services, learnt new ways of connecting and continuing to provide services to those in need. In this time of need that has presented many challenges, we believe that access to our services should not be limited by location, situation or socio-economic background as the community faces this situation together.
This ethos led us to opening our lockdown response to looking at ways of providing more and to more people.
We’ve made use of digital technologies to help improve access to our service and activities, allowing people to access the help they want and opening up the services to when they are able to access it. In keeping the individual at the centre, we’ve provided a platform for online meet-ups and courses helping people to deal with social distancing, tackle social isolation and improve their wellbeing.
Meridian Wellbeing is our new digital platform to support the community we serve in connecting with services, activities and courses to help people learn, share and improve their health and wellbeing.
We Aim to:
- Create services and activities with a person-centred holistic approach
- Promote social and digital inclusion
- Offer easy access to improve people’s wellbeing, providing what they need, when they need it
- Reduce isolation and promote social integration
- Work with partners in collaboration and foster strong partnerships to enable us to deliver more services and reach more people
- Develop innovative ways to raise awareness and promote engagement with wellbeing services
