Our Approach
Here To Support You
Meridian Point embodies our mission to enable those in crisis to access the support they need, when they need it, through a blend of face to face services and digital innovation.
The Meridian Point Cafe will provide evening support for vulnerable individuals and enable them to access the full range of services provided by Meridian Wellbeing.
The Cafe will complement our other services and will sit within a wrap around support project that includes intervention services, peer support, guided self-help tools, therapist led support and wellbeing technology.
This is encapsulated in our mission statement for this project:
Connect
Activate
Friendship
Empower

Face to Face Services
At Meridian Wellbeing, it's our service users who drive us to innovate and constantly strive to improve.
Meridian Point is about providing wrap around support for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
In this video, our service users share their stories, how we have supported them and continued to do so during the Pandemic through innovations like this digital platform.
We hope that by sharing this video with you, it will give you a better understanding of why Meridian Point is so important to us.

Our Work

We believe in working collaboratively. By sharing knowledge and insight, we can better support some of our community’s most vulnerable individuals.
A key part of this approach is through our weekly Joint Case Management (JCM) meetings. These bring together experts from the NHS, Adult Social Care and the Voluntary and Charity Sectors to support individuals with complex needs. This can range from people experiencing psychosis, in a crisis and/or with thoughts of self-harm, or harm to others.
We helped pioneer this collaborative, cross-sector approach to wellbeing and mental health support, and have seen how beneficial this has been to the individuals we support. In working together with statutory providers, we’ve helped to prevent crises, helped to keep people safe from harm, and to develop their own supportive plans to empower them.
Meridian Point will benefit from this approach and grow through our work with our partners.
You can find out more about the JCM and our work with our partners by listening to this episode of our podcast, The Word On Wellbeing.
